Default Transfer midi to octatrack?

Hi!

I am thinking about a numerology+octatrack workflow. Of course I don't have an octatrack (yet?)
So my question is: Did anyone have success in (routinely) transferring and storing midi clips from say MonoNote sequencer to an Octatrack (midi) pattern?

Thanks!

The Octatrack does not have any MIDI import utilities but it can record MIDI. I would sync the OT up to Numerology and hit record on the OT. Bear in mind that the OT has a four note polyphony limit per MIDI track.

Thanks! Yes I know about these in theory. My question is whether anyone has tried it in practice and speak by experience that it's working seamlessly?

I suppose, if time allows, that I could get off my arse and try it since I have both.

Now that I have an Octatrack, I can answer my question myself.
Yes, it works and it's easy. The results are very tight, sounds exactly like the original.

(Note: Numerology->Ableton produced timing problems. Of course N4's midi file export helped there, but my current theory is that Ableton is crap)

If you can send me any details, I'm curious to know the details of the setup you were using, I might be able to help....

Cheers,
Jim

Dear Jim,

Thank You for your reply! I am not sure that I can find the time to dive into the details, and I am really unmotivated these days to use Ableton anyway.
Your product is great, in any case, keep up the good work
