Default Launchpad support - drum sequencer velocity control

After watching the Launchpad tutorials and seeing how affordable this controller is, I got me one. 4 hours later... a absolutely perfect interface for numerology. Amazing possibilities!

It appears that in the drum sequencer, the velocity interface doesn't work. The lights are there like in the other sequencer controls, but they have no effect. Would the velocity setting have to apply to all drum sounds at that position in the sequence, or could it act to modulate them all from whatever their current value is?
Anyways, turning notes on now sets them to 1.0 vel, which is not nice when using beautiful sample libraries.

What are the plans for this page in the Launchpad controller?

Thank you for this wicked controller.

Default

on the launchpad, with a DrumSeq, if you push the top button on the right side, the ones used for scenes in live, the '> Vol' button, you get velocity controls for each track in the DrumSeq. with that button you can toggle between individual velocity controls or the default 0-1.

i think this is what you're looking for.

A good question -- perhaps the best option is to use it as the default velocity setting...

BTW: You might find it useful to use the NoteProcessor to scale and possibly randomize velocity values a bit...

Cheers,
Jim
