Default Clock advance by midi note using plugin

Hi, I'm using the Numerology plugin in MainStage and want to advance a sequence of notes one at a time by repeatedly playing a note on my keyboard, I've tried setting the Mononote run settings to CV Trig:Step so I'm able to step thru using a cc but is there anyway to use a note on to step thru ?
Thanks in advance.

Oh and Numerology is consistently crashing MainStage as soon as I close the Numerology plugin window especially if another plugin window is open too.

I'm on MacOS 10.13, MainStage 3.3.2, Numerology Pro 4.2 (Build 170)
MacBook Pro TB 2.9ghz

On High Sierra, manually remove the N4 AU:

- In Finder, navigate to <your hard drive>/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

- Delete NumerologyAU.component

Add a "MIDI 2 CV" converter above the MonoNote in the stack. On the routing tab, make sure incoming MIDI is routed to the converter module, and route the GateOut from the converter to the Trigger In on the MonoNote. Also, very important, make sure 'Beat Quantize' is OFF.

BTW: this is indeed something that needs to be easier to do.

Cheers,
Jim

Thanks Jim
It works now but is there a way to control the notes gate 'as played' rather than what is set in the mononote,
and a way to set a reset note to be able to start the sequence again ?

In that case, put aside the NoteSequeners for a bit and play around with the NoteGen module. With that one, you can (and must) provide pitch, gate, and velocity values from separate sources. The minimal setup is one IntervalSeq, one GateSeq and one NoteGen. Then note (ahem) that you can step the Interval Seq w/ external CV, and (via the MIDI2CV module) you can use an internal note source as the gate....

The easy way: Map the 'reset' control on the seqs to an external MIDI CC.

If you want to use notes: Use a NoteFilter (to single out a single note) into a MIDI2CV (to get a gate value) to a ParamMod (to control reset on the target seq). --- I'm pretty sure that will work, but I haven't tried that exact setup yet.

Cheers,
Jim
