Default SysEx File Player Module

Would it be possible to add some kind of SysEx file player as a module to N4?

I'm thinking something like a built in version of SysEx Librarian, where I could load in my files and save them with the stack.

Squeak squeak

There are a couple of threads requesting some kind of SysEx support going back a few years, all I'm asking for to begin with is something along the lines of SysEx Librarian.

I've got loads of patches saved from hardware as SysEx files, it would be great to be able to load them up from within Numerology, an added bonus could be the SysEx module capturing SysEx dumps transmitted from the hardware.

If we can get this basic functionality going then maybe that could possibly lead the way to future SysEx control of machines as discussed in these threads?

variation on this

a SysexGen module
2 CV inputs, midi out

you enter a string e.g. f0 0 20 33 01 10 72 ?? 1d 01 f7
it then inserts the CV input scaled to 0-127 into the sysex string,
and outputs it.

use case, many synth use sysex to control some parameters so be a great way to control them.
(e.g. There are lots of params on the virus TI that can only be altered by sysex, due CC being only able to address 127 params)

note: perhaps as N4 doesn't have text entry for modules (?), an alternative would be to store the sysex strings in a file, with an 'index', and in the module we just refer to the index,
would probably work pretty well, as it would be a bit like a 'template'.

One more vote for a simple play/record SysEx module . . . In Logic, I usually dump the hardware synth multis at the beginning of the track to keep everything in one place. It would be awesome if Numerology had a way to record in a dump and play it out again.

Exactly my wish too: record and play sys ex. It would be great to have sys ex dump(s) to have right sounds when you lounch your project... (Only on start up, not every time you hit play)

I'll just throw in a suggestion for a temporary workaround. It might be possible that you could use a macro program like QuicKeys, Controller Mate, or Keyboard Maestro to receive a MIDI event (or keystroke or other) to trigger playback of a sysex file from Sysex Librarian itself, running in the background.

I'm not thinking through all the possible madness that might occur, but just throwing it out there as a plan B (or C or D?).
