Default Controlling Reaktor Blocks with Num4

I have found a nice Reaktor 6 Blocks ensemble that I want to use. It is generative so it features one block that is a clock and that one drives the whole shebang.

My problem is that this ensemble starts playing the second I launch Num4, which is not what I want -- I'd rather have control of that myself.

Any ideas how I can do this? I suppose one way would be to control the output of the AU module with a preset. Can I do that? I was also curious if I can link an event to the block somehow? Perhaps click the Run button with one of the CV thingies?

I am still learning Num4 so please be patient with me.

I haven't used Reaktor in quite a while, but there should be some option to sync the block that generates clock to the host's tempo. What happens when you run it in Ableton?

As you suggest, I think some way to control the 'Run' button on the blocks is the way to go -- perhaps map it to a CC or Note event.

Also: Post a picture of your setup, might give me some ideas.

Cheers,
Jim

Hi !
There is a way to do that. You can select Internal instead of external for the clock in your Reaktor ensemble. This will allow you to to control click on the start button and do a midi learn. This way you should be able to control the start and stop from Numerology.
Have fun
