Not directly, not yet anyway... (I'm working on it)

For now, I recommend piping the MIDI into something that can record MIDI and export to a midi file.

Cheers,
Jim

Not yet -- keep pinging though, it helps bump it up the priority list...

Cheers,

I also would love this capability.

not sure if this is possible, but what would be amazing would be the ability to generate a MIDI file from any sort of operations that the stacks perform. That is, any sort of random jumps, generative things, etc. it could be incredibly useful. I don't know if this goes without saying or what, but it would be great.

really, though I have no complaints. Thought I'd chime in since the topic was here.

best,

-m

Default I'm skeptical

I've been using Numerology now for 21 months and I find the idea of exporting a midifile from a sequencer to be interesting at first glance. But having worked out various ways for morphing my sequencers overtime, I don't see how exporting a static file of a finite number of events from one sequencer gets me anywhere new.

For me the development of a musical line of some length with various modifications underway is the whole point of using a program like Numerology.

If I want to generate a phrase I can do that in any sequencer like Cubase, Logic or Dp either by recording live, painting it in in the piano roll editor, step input, I'm pretty sure they also have phrase "synthesizers" auto accomp. and such like.

The point that one user made about exporting the output of an entire stack as a midi file is more interesting, but thats already implemented with the midi file record funtion at the bottom of every stack.. A trick here is if all you want is controller info, just record the output from the stack and include a dummy sequence from a mono note and then strip out the notes in you sequencer.

Am I right or are we living in a parallel universe where this isn't possible on your systems?

Wade
