Default Binary Op "power" operation ignores sign of power term?

When using the binary op module to compute powers, there's an error when the power term is negative:

In normal mathematics, I'd expect 1.0595^-12 to equal ~0.5, but this seems to be giving the result of 1.05959^+12.

Have I confused the calculation here?

I made a work-around!

It uses the "Note to Frequency" mode of a unary input to convert my positive/negative offset input value (which has been added to 57, the note number for middle A), and then the resultant frequency is divided by 440 to get the correct speed multiplier I'm desiring.

It'd be a lot simpler if the power binary op supported negative power terms, though.
